Established in 1910 by W. F. Byrd, Sr., Byrd Insurance Agency is the Oldest Independent Agency in Paulding County.

Byrd Insurance Agency, Inc. serves the insurance needs of individuals, families,and businesses throughout the entire state of Georgia.

IMPORTANT BYRD MILE STONES:

In 1950 the Agency was sold to Mrs. Mary W. Thornton

1978 approximately Mr. George Williams joined and later purchased the Agency

1980 approximately Mr. James Raney joined the Agency and soon became the sole owner

In 1989 - Mr. J. Mark Raney and Mr. Joseph H. Raney joined the Agency with their father. In 1990 James Raney retired and Joe and Mark took over the Agency and moved to Hiram,Ga

In 1999 - Mrs. Madge Lovingood   joined the Agency to head up their commercial department and in 2004 she became a Partner.

Currently, Mark Raney and Madge Lovingood own and operate the Agency which has become a full service Property and Casualty Provider.   The Agency   is still in Hiram, Ga and they hope to be here at least another 100 years!
